Event Update COVID-19

BOISE – March 19, 2020 – In light of the ongoing COVID-19 recommendations, we would like to provide you with information about the work taking place at Susan G. Komen Idaho Montana. The health and safety of our constituents is our first priority. The nature of our work is delicate, and we must be extra vigilant during this evolving situation.

We have been and will continue to monitor news from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare daily. We will continue to follow the guidance of local, state and federal agencies, to implement plans and protocols.

Thus, we will be making some changes to upcoming Spring events.

  • The MBC Dinner event in Boise on April 15 will be held remotely.  All those registered for the event will receive information about how to connect from home.
  • The Boise Promise Celebration on April 24 has been rescheduled for August 14. Those who have registered for the event will have their registrations transferred to the new date.
  • The Boise Race for the Cure on May 9 has been rescheduled for August 29. Those who have registered for the Race will have their registrations transferred to the new date. We encourage you to use this additional time to expand your teams and raise funds to help our local breast cancer patients and our ever-important research.

As for now all Summer and Fall events are continuing as scheduled.

We know this international pandemic will, no doubt, have significant impact on our communities. On behalf of our family (our staff, board of directors, and our dedicated volunteers), we sincerely hope you are actively taking care of yourself and those around you. Be a good neighbor and reach out and ask if anyone needs help.

We are grateful to you for your commitment and generosity. Continue to watch our website and social media pages for further updates.  For now, our office will remain open with limited hours and we will still work towards our mission of ending breast cancer.
